"Does each person have a land that only he or she can see? From this point, which is more than 60km to the sea with the eyes of a camera, I can see how people live and how people's land comes and goes. Look through. You can see what you want to copy everywhere, but your feet always go in the same direction. "
− In the spring of 2011, he held his first solo exhibition entitled “Smoke Field”.
When I was living in Tokyo for nearly 20 years, I was a little confused that I had exceeded the time I had spent in the place I had spent until then, and I revisited the scenery of the land that I would have vaguely seen every day. I felt like checking myself. A poet wrote about Eggleston's photographs, which he liked and often saw at that time, "I can't see the scenery of Eggleston even if I go to Memphis", "The scenery that only I can see, only I can see I should have land, "he always had in mind.
................................................................. .......
It's been a long time since then.
In the spring of 2020, I made this photobook for my first solo exhibition in a long time, but the times have changed and it has been postponed.
I am walking in the same place again. I'm looking for a different sun, squinting to touch the depths of myself.
The scenery that is entwined with the consciousness toward expression and is linked to the body is carved as a trace of walking, not for anything.
Standing on this land feels like a pair with photography.
