First Published in 2006 Size：282×220（mm） Soft Cover, 68 pages in total FLOATING 　ディテールから滲み出すその土地の記憶。 視覚はそのディテールをなぞるが、染み出す記憶は匂いのように目には見えない。いつしか自分はその只中にいる。便宜的に「記憶」と書いたが、本当のところは「なにものか」だ。その場所で写真を撮り始め、暫くしてずいぶんとシャッターを切ったなと気づくとき、自分はその土地の「なにものか」と共鳴し共感している。自ら目指した訳でもなく、様々な事情に流されて出会った見知らぬ土地を「なにものか」に誘われるままに歩いた。 　パリの北東部バンリュー(郊外)は移民が多く暮らす街であることを後に知った。撮影している最中、その土地の置かれた社会的な位置に関しては全く関心は無かったが、その土地の事情も自分が惹かれる時の要素であることを、今は自覚している。 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 撮影地：パリ北部郊外、パリ外周道路 撮影年：2004年 　Memories of the land seep out from the details. Sight traces the details, but the memories that seep out are invisible, like smells. At some point, I find myself in the middle of it. I wrote "memory" for convenience, but the truth is that it is "something. When I start to take photographs in a place and realize after a while that I have taken a lot of shots, I am resonating with and sympathizing with "something" in that place. I did not set out for this place on my own, but rather walked through the strange land that I encountered under the influence of various circumstances, as "something" invited me. 　I later learned that Banlieues (a suburb in the northeast of Paris) is home to many immigrants. While I was shooting, I was not at all interested in the social position of the area, but now I am aware that these circumstances were also factors that attracted me.
